COLUMBUS — National Teen Driver Safety Week is Oct. 18-25, 2026, and the Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO), a division of the Ohio Department of Public Safety, is reminding parents and guardians to talk with teens about safe driving habits. This week highlights one of the most critical public safety issues facing young people: vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of death among teens. Ohio is committed to reducing these preventable tragedies through education, awareness, and stories that show the real impact of dangerous decisions behind the wheel.
